Slight Problems

There are two problems I am working to fix with the xspf players. The first is the external loading method, apperantly users are experiancing problems in IE (not suprising), and IE does not allow the used external loading method for variables. The only fix to this is to not load using an external file. Add variables in your html to the end of your player source. ex: “http://www.yourdomain/xspf.swf?autoload=1&playlist_url=playlist.xml” etc. The other problem is in the use of id3 tags in the mini player, they do not always work in IE. Both problems are being fixed.

I just thought I’d congratulate you on an excellent XSPF player!

I use Mozilla Firefox but a lot of people who go on it don’t - is there anyway this can work on Internet Explorer with external files?

Thanks

i just found this player and i love it! thanks for making it available. one thing i noticed in safari and firefox, is that if i load the page and click on the play button (rather than click a song), the playlist repeats itself one time (e.g. i have it set to autoload, so the four songs show up, but then the play button repeats those four songs for a total of eight).

however, if i just click the song, no problem, even if i switch between clicking on a song and the player control buttons. the issue just seems to be on initial page load and only if you hit the play button first instead of clicking on a song.

has this been reported before? or am i doing something on my end?

I’ve been tweaking with this player all weekend. I started using an older version and got it to work just fine. However, I came across your newest version with the shuffling capability along with the other new features and just had to have it. However, I’m having a problem with it automatically playing upon opening the page even though I have the autoload and autoplay parameters defined. I’m successful with changing the volume, shuffling, and start track parameters, but I seem to be having issues with the auto ones. Any suggestions?

Thanks for such great work…
